I just ran the Transaction Report and filtered to just show the Mutual
Funds.
I wanted to see how each fund reported their yearly transactions.
Not getting into the wording semantics or accounting issues,
it was interesting to note the following....
ALL of my Fidelity funds were reported as - DIV + BOUGHT
ALL of the TRP and Vanguard funds were reported
using the REINVSH, REINVLT, and REINVDIV
Also - the corresponding Quicken Category was reported differently too.
DIV had a category of _DIVINC
REINVDIV had a category of _DIVINC
REINVLT had a category of _LTCAPGNDIST
REINVSH had a category of _SHCAPGNDIST
Just wanted to share these observations -
It seems that the "difference" might be in how each company reports their
dividends ?
along with Quicken 2004 being hardwired for the Performance Report
to only include a specific subset of dividend transactions.
