Is it possible to go back to previous version?

Hi,

I "upgraded" about a month ago from Quicken 2007 to 2009.
I can't stand it!
Part of it may be my limited vision. But it just seems like such a
vastly more difficult interface.

Is there any way to convert the files back to 2007?
I've already used it enough that it would be too difficult to take the
2007 backups and just add in the new transactions.

Your choice of course, but to me the differences in the interface are
very slight. I don't find either one to be worse or more difficult
than the other.

As far as I know, no there isn't.

I think your only choices are doing exactly that or staying with 2009.

Not as far as I know...

That might be the only way.... you can try exporting the files and
importing them into the older version.

Please log in for more thread options

Look in your C:Program FilesQUICKENW folder (default install) and you
should see Q07files folder containing the files you need.

Install Q07 into a different folder and run that version. Use Q07 to import
the files you found above and back them up which should no B/U into where
ever you installed Q07.

Of course the old files will be up to date only to when you updated to Q09.

Another possibility is to use Q09 and change your screen resolution to meet
your vision requirements. Look in Q09 options and you may be able to do
something there. I use Q08 so I do not know what is available.

Thanks for your reply, Eric.

Yes, the first part of course I was aware of.
Just didn't want to have to enter transactions into dozens of account
by hand (the ones since the version change).

Interestingly, the screen resolution is probably most of my problem.
For it to be large enough for me to see, it mashes things together.
Picture a web page that is being viewed in a resolution that is too
low. Not everyting fits on the page.
