You seem to be saying you can now see only one register
transaction. That can't be, can it?

I have Q2005 (and Q2008): you can increase the number of
transactions displayed in either version by dragging the
horizontal border of the Quicken window ... until you reach the
limits of your monitor screen. But you can't drag the border of
Quicken's internal register "window" in either version.

Pressing F11 does what you say, but it also expands the register
window "vertically", allowing more transactions to be visible.
(And you can make the maximizing effect of the F11 key the
default, using Quicken Preferences for the register and checking
the box "Maximize my register view".)

It appears you are talking about hiding the "Download
Transactions" and "Scheduled Bills & Deposits" tabs at the foot
of the register. You can do that in Q2008 the same way you did
in Q2005 ... with the same limitations.
In the register menu row, click "Options > Hide
Downloaded/Scheduled tabs".
You can only do that in accounts that are not Activated for
downloading and which do not currently have Scheduled
Transactions due. If you Activate the account for downloading,
you won't be able to set the option again. And if a Scheduled
Transaction becomes due for the account, the option will be
turned off, and you'll have to manually set it again ... after
you have processed the Scheduled transaction.
