Sorry to hijack your thread.
Here's what I would consider doing:
1) Create a new Quicken file, call it TEST or something.
2) Disable Renaming Rules in that file.
3) Create your credit account.
4) Download transactions.
5) Note the names of the problem transactions.
6) Go back to original file.
7) Find those transactions in Renaming, change.
8) Delete those transactions in Memorized Payees also.
May not help, but could be worth a shot.
