John - Did you check the Quicken HELP files? "For free assistance
converting Microsoft® Money for Windows version 2003 or later for use in
Quicken 2007 for Windows, contact Quicken Help & Support."

Thanks, I did read that and must tell you I don't think it is "help" at
all. This is for a son of mine who has lost his Money Program function,
and it seems the new version does not read his files....I don't know
why. He suggested he might switch to Quicken, which he knows I use.
I can't offer any help on a Sunday afternoon with those circumstances.
He would buy Quicken, if it did what he wanted.

Probably would be useful to know which version of Money was used. Also, if
a version of Money was used, it might be more effective to re-install that
version, or get a newer version. Lastly, if you can copy the money file(s)
to removable storage, you could try someone else's program, whether Money
or Quicken, or even something like Moneydance.

Again, thanks. I recommended that he buy a replacement current version.
He did that, and the installation and rescue of his data went without
hitch. Luck was with him. Office Max had a special on Money, so ht
saved quite a bit on the purchase.

Thanks for your help. All is well now.
