Multiple investment accounts - duplicate stocks? Bev Gray 02-13-2008

I have Quicken XG 2006(Canada).

I have three separate brokerage accounts - one for personal investing,
one for RRSP and one for my spousal RRSP. I used to be able to separate
my stocks for each account with an individualized name, although I kept
the standard ticker symbol for downloading quotes.

e.g. B.BCE (my investment account)
B.R.BCE (my RRSP account)
B.S.BCE (my spousal RRSP account)
- ticker symbol is bce-t for all three holdings

I did it this way so I could compare and contrast each account and its
holdings in my Portfolio View.

All of a sudden (several months ago), Quicken stopped allowing me to do
this. Now I have to have the same name for all the stock holdings.
Quicken does separate them out in the various account summary screens,
but I REALLY like to see the separation in my portfolio view as well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks - Bev

Well, I figured it out myself (finally!!). All I had to do was change
the "Groups" in my Portfolio setting, and everything gets separated out
properly.
