 I had to reinstall everything on my new computer so I transferred my Quicken
Deluxe 2008 files to another computer, then reinstalled Quicken on the new
machine. When I try to load the backed up files it is telling me that the
QDF file is from a newer version of Quicken. Huh?

Yup, that was it. Don't know why R5 didn't get downloaded the second time
during the reinstall. I removed Quicken and installed a third time and it
got R5 ok. Thanks loads for the responses. Mike
