One Step Update to be discontinued in Apr 09 for Quicken Deluxe 2006

During normal quicken operation today I got a message that Automatic
Update will be discontinued by Apr 09. Need following option:

1. Is their any other option other than upgrade which facilitate
populating transactions in Q06, such as manual download from banks
site etc
2. Any other means to continue with automatic download without
upgrading?

There's 2 options:
1) Upgrade (more on this later)
2) Forego all online connectivity from/with/to Quicken.

Re: the upgrade option, there's at least 2 sub-options
a) Buy Q 2009 for $60-$90
b) Buy Q 2008 on eBay for $20. 2008 is expected to have online
connectivity until 2011.
