FYI - I just wanted to mention a problem that one of my clients (ok my dad)
is having with the quote server at the moment.

He is finding that quotes for certain Canadian securities are being
expressed with the decimal point in the wrong place.

Examples of Securities Affected (all on the Canadian TSX stock exchange):

SLF - Sun Life Financial: Quoted at $500.50; actual price is more like
$50.05
SU - Suncor: Quoted at $967.60; actual price is more like $96.76
TA - Transalta Utilities: Quoted at $286.70; actual price is more like
$28.67
TRP - TransCanada Pipelines: Quoted at $367.29; actual price is more like
$36.73

Other securities affected (I won't give the details):
BMO, BNS, BCE

From what I've seen, ordinary common stocks (without dividends) are
affected; other security types (mutual funds, dividend-paying securities)
are not.

When I look at historical quotes, I find that quotes for July 11, 2007
(today) and June 25, 2007 (2 1/2 weeks ago) are goofed up; quotes for other
dates are in the right ballpark.

===
Anyway, if anybody knows more about this situation, please feel free to add
details here.

I first noted this decimal problem on Stock quotes on June 30 - sent a
message to Intuit.ca and they know about it.. but apparently are not in
any great hurry to fix it. As I recall, my mutual funds quotes were OK
on that date.

I also wrote to Quicken a little over two weeks ago and received an
automated message that I could expect a reply within 48 hours. Fat chance!

MS Money is starting to look like it might be a good alternative to try
as this delay in fixing this is becoming more and more irksome.

This problem has been occurring since about June 18th. Intuit Canada
claims that fixing it is a top priority, but if that were the case it
would be fixed by now.
