Q 2008 D

One of my FI=92s refuses to update.

If I try to update that one FI, the =93Online Update for this account=94
"One Step Update Settings" window displays a single line. At the far
left is an empty checkbox, then it shows =93Financial Institutions=94 with
=93Passwords ?=94 displayed to the right.

I=92ve tried checking/unchecking the box, exiting Q, completely shutting
down/restarting the PC, Validating the file, & Super Validating the
file. I've tried going to the account's website & doing a qfx
download, but Q won't let me pick the existing account & wants to
create a new one.

Nothing seems to work.

Anyone encountered it before or have any recommendations?

I have never seen anything like you describe, nor have I read of anything
like you describe (though I confess, I do not completely understand your
description).

I can tell you that Intuit says that under some conditions, you must
deactivate ALL of your online enabled accounts (including accounts with
financial institutions that are not experiencing problems); then do a
Quicken Copy, then a Quicken Validate.

In other words: if you have not disabled online access to every single one
of your Quicken accounts - even those not involved in your problem - you
have not done all that Intuit recommends.

I have no evidence that this will solve the problem ... but it is simple
enough to try it out, and if it does not help, you can always revert to
the backup you make before you try it.

That's ugly. REALLY ugly. That would be a TON of work.

I've disabled/re-enabled accounts for download before & you get a
complete download upon re-enable. Then you have to delete the ones
that are already in the register (6 months worth, IIRC).

I think it would be better to go back to the last backup (that I
already have) & catch the file up.

Thanks, tho.
