I've been offered a US version of Quicken Deluxe but before I take the
offer up I need to know that when the time comes for me to upgrade to
a later New Zealand version, the NZ version will open the QDF made by
the US version?

As a long time user of Microsoft Money I'm aware that I can't open a
NZ data file into a US version of money and I'm concerned that the
same may be true of Quicken.

Quicken won't convert its own data files from one country
version to another, much less MS Money files from another
country; so I think the basic answer to your question is : no.

You may be able to move your data between the two manufacturer's
versions and the two country versions using QIF file
export/import. But it will not be a simple process.

I'm too lazy/tired to search but didn't someone have a similar question
a month ago or so? I can't recall the solution or if there was one but
it might be worthwhile for the OP to do a search of this group going
back 60 days or so??????
