Password Vault Issue Merrily 07-25-2007

Does anyone know what causes a glitch in the password vault operation when
it is used from outside Quicken for automatic scheduled one-step updates? I
just do not seem to be able use this feature. Although the Password vault
works properly when I use it within Quicken, when I schedule automatic
one-step updates I am prompted for the password at the scheduled time when I
do not have the software loaded in memory, I enter the correct password (and
I have doubled checked that I am entering the
correct password - case and all) and a message appears that it is the
incorrect password, etc. I have one more opportunity to enter the correct
one and when I do, I'm told it is incorrect and the update will not proceed.

Do you have a password assigned to your Quicken data? Scheduled
updates apparently do not work for password protected Quicken
data.

[Please include your Quicken year/version when posting

Thank you. I understand now what is happening. I just wanted to schedule
downloading of prices, not accounts and I think I can figure out how to set
it up so it does that, but if I cannot, I can do that within Quicken. I
forgot about what version -- I'm using 2007.
