Can I remove the password? If so how?
As somehow I have two passwords now one for updates and one for loggon. I
don't need this extra protection.
Also,I'm starting to lose my online bank updates.
Stock quotes work all the time but the bank updates one day then maybe the
next day the setup for the bank update isn't setup. using Q2006.
thanks
Jeff

In the menu bar at the top of the Quicken window click File | Passwords |
File and/or File | Passwords | Transaction. Enter the Old Password and leave
the New Password and Confirm Password fields blank.

Jerry,
I'm running 2006 .
It has no " New Password "
and Confirm Password fields blank.
Only has Password in the first block.
then below it says confirm password so It won't allow me to leave the last
one blank..
Seems somewhere in this mega program I've seen what you said to do .
Thanks
Jeff

JG,

I also have Q2006. What you describe is what the forms look like when no
passwords are set. If Quicken is still asking you for passwords then
something must be messed up internally.

My only suggestions are to try setting the passwords and then try removing
them. If you can't remove the Transaction password you might try setting the
"Required for Dates Through:" field to a date far in the past.

If you're running Windows XP you may have to run with administrative
privileges for these changes to stick.

Another possible fix is to backup your data then uninstall and reinstall
Quicken. This is pretty quick and painless and often fixes quirky problems.

Good luck,

Jerry
