I have just upgraded to QPP 2007 and now I am experiencing
problems backing up. For the past few versions of Personal Plus,
I have backed up on DVD using the format D:/Filename_dd_mm_yyyy
with no problems at all. This keeps all 5 (6?) files together
for easy identification. I have, on occasion, used the restore
function on these files, also with no problems.
Now, trying to back up using the same format, I am told
*CD Backup Error! The CD Drive contains a non-writable CD!
Please enter a valid disc into Drive D!*
There is nothing wrong with the DVD and adequate space remains.
I can copy other files to the DVD ok, and changing to a new DVD
makes no difference. What has Reckon/Intuit broken here? I
notice here, and on Quicken's site, talk of a workaround
involving a double handling process, which frankly, is
unacceptable considering the subscription charges involved.
Has anyone experienced the same problem, and more importantly,
has anyone discovered a fix? (not a workaround)
