Very often program hangs when I am downloading and message comes up that
I need to restart computer. I find this annoying. Is there a fix for
this issue?

TIA

Have you tried not having Live Community start when Quicken starts?

Edit > Preferences > Quicken Program > Startup

Uncheck "Open Live Community when starting Quicken".

Exit Quicken. Run Quicken and try a download.

It had not been checked before. I am wondering if the problem is being
caused by the downloading program not closing properly. Sometimes after
I exit Quicken I notice in task manager that some Quicken programs are
still open. BTW I am using Windows7 RC operating system (which has been
trouble free).

I see something similar on occasion. But it only happens when I download
stock quotes. I have been busy, so I haven't worked on it yet. You may
try turning off stock quotes from your one step update, and see if that
makes a difference.
