I recently got a credit for a local electronics store and made a
purchase. The promotion they had was no payments for 6 months, and I
plan to pay off the balance before that so I don't incur any interest.

How would I bring this into Quicken? So I may setup a monthly payment
on this credit card and see how much I owe as I pay it off? Is this
added like a regular credit card?

I know this isn't very constructive but - I can't resist - why wouldn't it
be?
You said it's a credit card so...
It doesn't matter it it's a Chase Visa or Ralph's Furniture, charges and
payments are recorded.
