I notice that there about 20 auctions for Q2008 Premier on Ebay now, with
prices in the $15-25 range. Some are new CD's but without retail box and
manual.

What gives? How can the cost be so low?

For one thing, based on online reviews, a LOT of people think it's junk
and are very unhappy with it. Claims are that Intuit doesn't fix known
bugs and they do not reply to customer complaints.

Yeah, so what else is new?

People have been saying that for years, and Intuit does not seem to be at
all concerned about it.

Umm... because it costs just a dozen cents to create a counterfeit CD?

I bought the subject package as Les mentions, to migrate from Q05->Q08...not
because of features (Q99 would still serve me well)...but because of
"subscription" renewal. Yeah, Intuit sunsets the online services every 3
years. How long will it be before they do it anually?

I'm not convinced that my eBay Q08-Premier CD is counterfeit. Perhaps you
might expand on how one tells, other than the obvious of finding porn video
clips in the subdirectories.

Cheers,
Jim
