Correction: Thunderbird doesn't. It used to...

I use QuoteFix too, and I think something happened to it in the
last ... I can't remember how many ... months. It now always
deposits my signature at the top of the post I start to reply
to; it always used to follow its directions to put the signature
at the bottom of the posts I replied to.

QuoteFix is "free": I guess we get what we pay for.
