I tried to duplicate what you did; I did not get the results you
did. Like yours, my Account Bar was/is on the left.
I right-clicked in the Account Bar, left-clicked on "Hide
Account Bar" ... and the Account Bar went away. But nothing
about my toolbar icons changed; they still had both icons and
text.
Then I clicked on the small semi-circle located where the
top-left of the Account Bar used to be ... which restored the
Account Bar. Again, nothing about my toolbar icons changed;
they still had both icons and text.
I repeated the test, exiting Quicken in between hiding the
account bar and restoring it ... no change. Everything stayed
as it was before hiding the Account Bar.
