Q 2008 Backup Different than 2005? Doug 01-27-2008

I just upgraded from Q05 to Q08. It seems to me that the
Edit/Preferences/Quicken Program/Backup behavior is different: setting
"Remind After Running Quicken [0-99] Times to zero does NOT result in an
automatic and unprompted backup.
Am I crazy; didn't it used to?

I know I can set it to 1 and then, when prompted, say yes. But I just
want it to run a backup every time I exit without asking me.

Not going to happen.

The "reminder" is just that: a reminder, it does not cause
anything to happen. And it only pertains to backups you create
in Quicken (File > Backup).

Quicken's "automatic" backup occurs approximately every 7 days
(depending on how often you run Quicken) and the only control
you have over it is to tell it how many backups to retain (1 to
9).
