Quicken H&B 2006 for Windows. Today Quicken notified me to install R5,
which I did. For the life of me, I can't find a document which says what's
new in R5.

Anyone know?

Thank you.

John

When searching the Intuit website, I find no mention of R5 for H&B 2006.
They say R4 is the latest version.

When I click Help>About Quicken, it now shows: Quicken 2006 Premier Home &
Business Release QA 5

Does anyone else see "QA 5?" This has me a little worried. I don't recall
ever seeing "QA" before in the version info. While I doubt it's related, I
am now using Internet Explorer 7.

John,

I just got R5 for Q06 H&B. Clicking on the "Tell Me More" button at the
bottom of the R5 update notice shows the following reason for the update:

"Resolved a display problem with Quicken Help and Internet Explorer 7.0."

I'm getting the Update Notice even though I'm still on Internet Explorer 6.

Put your mind at ease :-)

Jerry

Jerry,

Thanks for the quick reply. You have indeed put my mind at ease. It's odd
that intuit.com mentions nothing (that I could find) about R5.

I neglected to click the "Tell Me More" button -- a mistake on my part, I
guess.

Does your About Quicken show the "QA" as mine does?

Again... thanks!

John

Apparently not, because you still seem to be concerned :-)

Probably because R5 doesn't fix any bugs or change any user functionality.

Judging from the large number of Quicken files that changed today on my
computer they've almost certainly had this update ready for quite a while
and had to roll it out quickly since Microsoft is starting to give everyone
IE7.

Yup... Quicken 2006 Premier Home & Business Release QA
