Q09 - downloaded transactions J Lunis 08-04-2009

I feel confident this is a common question but I can't find the answer
in Quicken Help or a search in Google.
Downloaded Transactions - any way to do a mass 'unaccept?' Only choices
I see are "Accept," "Accept All," and "Manually Match." I have a large
number of transactions to delete and don't want to spend hours
(literally) deleting transactions one at a time.

No; there is no way to delete multiple transactions from the "Accept
cleared transactions into register" window.

I think your best shot is to Accept the transactions, then do a mass
delete of the accepted transactions. This process only works reliably for
downloaded transactions with a Status of "New".

Enter a dummy transaction in the register with something in the memo field
to make it quickly identifiable. Accept all the downloaded "New"
transactions. Using the register View menu, sort the register by "order
entered". Select all transactions from the dummy transaction thru the
last transaction in the register, then click Edit > Transaction > Delete.

Backup first.

Very good. And this will work even though some of my 'New' transactions
are 4 months old?

It should. The sequence "order entered" is the order in which the
transactions are "entered" (manually "entered" or "Accepted") into the
Quicken register ... regardless of when they were downloaded, or what
their transaction date is.

But you'll have a backup, if it doesn't work out that way.

Any similar work around for investment accounts?
