Q2002 Register Report Dannie 08-27-2006

In doing register report I notice where one selects from and to for
selecting data, the from starts out mo/dy/60 and the to goes to last latest
record you have. The 60 is throwing me when it seems I used to have a year
like 05 or 06.

Anyone that familiar with what I am saying and how I can get the year to
like 05 or 06.

Dannie - obviously not a "heavy" Quicken user.

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem. Are you seeing
transactions in the report that you don't want to see?

As far as I can tell, the Q2002 register report defaults to
using "All dates", meaning the "From" date would be the date of
the oldest Quicken transaction in your data ... in any account.
The only way I know to change the default From date for the
register report would be to delete all transactions with dates
earlier than the date you want the report to start with ... I
think that cure is worse than the disease.

Another approach would be to memorize a register report with a
starting date to your liking, then add an icon to your Quicken
toolbar to run the report. This has some risk because if you
ever entered a transaction in your register earlier than the
start date of the memorized report, it would not appear in that
report ... unless you happened to remember to change the From
date for the report and re-memorize it.

Actually John I have no data representing year 60. I suspect however that I
may have used a memorized report and may have used a meaningful date. I'll
try your suggestion and reestablish a new memorized report and see if the
year stays rather than reverting to "60" which as I say I do not have data
for that year.
