Q2005 freezes on startup old guy 10-31-2006

 XP SR2
Last few times I tried to start Quicken I get the startup splash screen
and it freezes. Splash screen stays there (I suppose) forever I suppose
if I didn't kill it with CTRL-AALT-DEL. Tried opening it from the exe
file in the quicken folder. Same result. Guidance please.

I’m not the Q expert but since no one replied I'll take a shot at it.
Since you are running XP just do a system restore. lets say it last
worked on the 10/27 pick System Restore date just prior to that, say
10/20 or whatever. if you don't know how to do it look in Help, it's
very easy to do and may correct the issue...

I'd try to reinstall Quicken before I do a System Restore.
