Q2006B Portfolio Views Flaky with Vista Cal Tinson 10-01-2007

Recently went from XP SP2 to Vista HP on a new machine. Loaded Q2006B,
updated it, and restored a backup from the XP SP2 machine. All has
worked fine for several weeks, except that in most portfolio views,
display column headings were missing.

Today, I tried dragging portfolio view columns around to resize them,
and it REALLY hit the fan! Whenever I tried to drag in either direction,
the entire column involved completely disappeared, and I haven't found a
way to get 'em back, including security name!

Took a fast look at posts here but didn't see anything - anyone got any
suggestions?

TIA!

Hi, Cal.

I haven't tried this because I haven't had this problem, but...

In Portfolio View | Customize, find your now-hidden column in Displayed
Columns and Remove it. Then Add it again. And, instead of dragging the
columns (which SHOULD work, but...), use the Move Up and Move Down buttons
on this Customize screen.

I'm looking at Q2008 Deluxe in Vista Ultimate x64, but this function should
work the same in all recent setups.

Thanks, RC - I've now got things back to a more or less usable state.
Couldn't remove and add security names as they're not listed. However, I
was able to get a full or partial column for them by literally
"throwing" the column divider to the right in an extremely violent and
rapid mouse movement. On the partial column view, I used symbols instead
of name. (Didn't realize the choice varied by view, but glad it does.)
