I have made some progress after an excruciating online chat with
someone in India. She, of course, suggested I had a corrupt data file
and would need to build a new one. With apparently no easy way to
transfer transactions from my old file to the new, I have settled for a
copy of the old file and for some reason things seem to be working, so
far.
