I haven't had any recurring crashes in Q2007 under XP. I have encountered
scattered bugs however.

2007 Quicken has never not (has always) crashed after one-step update -
probably 15 times over 3 months. Each time I send the report to
Intuit. Wonder which bit bucket it falls into?

FWIW, I haven't experienced that. I'm running XP Pro SP2 and Windows MCE
Rollup 2.

Using Q07P on XP Pro fully patched and I do at least 2 One Step Updates
every week and never see a crash. I experienced only 1 crash with Q07
and it was on the same day I installed. After that, no problems at
all.

Regarding running on Vista: does anyone expect a 2 year old version to
run on a new OS that won't be released to home users for a month? If
Intuit was smart, they'd patch Q07 for Vista before 1/30. Until 1/30
rolls around, however, I don't think think they can be faulted for not
running under Vista.
