This is probably just a variation of Pin Vault problems reported in most
recent levels of Quicken. In my case, after loading Q2007P my Pin Vault,
and my One Step Update no longer acknowledged my Fidelity NetBenefits 401k
account. It had worked fine for quite a few years in prior Quicken.

In this case though, the account itself presented in Summary tab that
Transaction Update was "Activated", and indeed, it even had a button to
download. Clicking the Download Transactions option appeared to do
something, including requesting my Pin Vault password, it then opened the
window that appears during download, but when that process ends, there were
no new transactions.

I know the typical remedial action is to remove the account from the pin
vault, but it wasn't there, so I couldn't remove it. I decided to
de-activate Online transactions, and that appeared to work. But, then when
I went to re-activate it, the Account reported the option as not available.
I closed and opened the account, then Quicken, then Windows, then the
computer power itself. Eventually, I came upon an option to set it again,
and having completed a new set up, I now have it working. I was able to add
it back to Pin Vault, and ultimately to One Step Update again.

So, I don't have any questions about what happened, I am past it. My
question is; with all their vast resources, why can't Intuit fix these
phantom Pin Vault, missing Pin Vault account problems? I don't doubt it is
difficult, but, a standing answer for several years, and across multiple
levels of "delete your Pin Vault and recreate it" is disingenuous customer
support. I don't need a new color option every year, but I could use a
correction to one of the more common errors to an integral part of the
online access modules some time in the next two or three releases.

I posted re this problem as well as the solution back on 8/3/2006, but I
can no longer find the post. IIRC, the solution is to select "Update
Transactions" from the register of your NetBenefits account. You will
then be prompted for the information necessary to reactivate OSU. Once
it's downloaded, you'll need to reenter and save the PIN in your PIN vault.

Hope this helps,

Margaret
