I understood from the literature on the box and web site that this feature
is supposed to "monitor monthly spending". But it seems that it doesn't do
that and it isn't a budgeting software at all.
However, it is quirky in that some transactions are reflected in either the
Scheduled Transactions or the Categorized Spending while others do not. I
haven't been able to see any difference between the transactions that are
acknowled and those that aren't.
Quicken technical help suggested that I reinstall Q2007, make a copy of my
backup file, supervalidate it, and bring it into Q2008. I did all that but
that didn't change anything.
So far, Q2008 isn't doing anything for me over Q2007. But I really wanted
the"budget" feature to work showing amount left during the month (like a
fuel gauge) and also carry over to the next month. In some categories it
acts like it's trying to do that, but only some.
Anyone else having this problem?
