Please log in for more thread options I posted this to Intuit and the response I got basically says they put
in a "feature" that breaks all prior business reporting.
In order to have a category included in a Profit and Loss report you
MUST give make it a business type. This means you cannot use the same
category (i.e. Utilities) for both Home (personal) and Business
transactions. You can only use it for one or the other.
I always thought that categories were types of things (i.e. Utilities)
and that Classes (now Tags) were the way to separate transactions by
area (i.e. Business, Personal, etc.). This no longer works.
