First, my apologies - I'm sure this topic has been covered in this
group. However, I deleted all of my messages.
I would appreciate help with the steps to install the latest update.
Every time I try it is unable to complete the installation.
Thanks in advance for your help on how to do this.

Thank you for your help. The link, the download and the installation
worked well. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, Alan.
Bob told you how to get the update. I'll try to tell you how to get back
your deleted messages. I said "try" because you are using Forte Agent -
which I know nothing about.
I use Windows Live Mail. In WLM, we can click Tools | Options | Read. On
that tab, there is a News section, which has a box for "Get ___ headers at a
time". The number in the blank is 300, by default, but it can be increased
to as much as 1000. Or, we can remove the check from the box and get ALL
the headers available on all news servers for all newsgroups. (This can
take a LONG time, even with broadband, for an active NG like this one!) WLM
also has "Synchronization settings" for each subscribed newsgroup; we can
choose to get All messages, New messages only, or Headers only.
My Quicken NG currently shows over 50,000 messages going all the way back to
2003. You probably wouldn't want all those. But, if you were using WLM,
you could set Sync to All messages, and the number to 300; that should get
you the 300 latest messages here - which probably would include the recent
update discussion that interests you.
Agent probably works differently, but it might have a similar function.
