I get a message that there was an update engine failure. What's this
and what should I do?

Intuit just called me. They were collecting log files of those whose
update failed.

I left my info at the aforementioed web site after Update 7 bombed on
me twice today.

Unfortunately, I used the program ccleaner and it deleted my log
files.

I couldn't help them, and the rep ended the call quickly saying he had
others to call.

Seems like they're working on it.

same here on XP -
downloaded the patch manually, and tried running it manually.

looking at the Update.log file - it really doesn't matter -
as the patch is failing to locate & pattern match the previous "stub"
module.

Wonder if this is the newly created Money Converter ????
