I have the same problem with Q06... The Quicken support website says
it has solutions for Q07 and Q08. Let's hope they will provide a fix
for Q06 too. I'm not interested in upgrading at this time to Q08.
Also, I agree with other comments that Ken's responses are not in the
spirit of what this newsgroup is here for... help and sharing. I've
been using Quicken since ~1992 (windows v. 1.0) and have always found
answers to my problems at this newsgroup and don't recall ever being
flamed in the process.

John, what a fantastically elegant solution! Thank you. Intuit's fix
will still be necessary for the search and convenience and context
functions, but, in the meantime, the workaround unlocks the door.

I'm glad it worked for you.

I just want to make sure that anyone who finds it useful gives
credit to the person (at the quoted link) who posted the
workaround - not me.

I too was happy to see such a nice workaround ... even though I
didn't need it.
