Seems I recall reading some msgs here about problems with Vista and Q08,
but never paid much attention since I was still using Q06 on Vista/64bit.

I just got Q08D and installed it on Vista Ultimate 64 bit without any
issues at all. Since there seemed to be some problems with updating and/or
installation, I thought I'd share what I did that seems to have worked.

I loaded the Q08 CD in my DVD drive and when the autorun box came up, I
chose to view files. I then selected the install.exe file, right clicked it
and chose to Run as Administrator and let it install. During the course of
installation, the program asked to go online and d/l updates which I
allowed. This brought me up to Rev 4 which is the latest, AFAIK.

After it completed the conversion process, it looks and acts healthy and
agrees with my backup copy of Q06D on my laptop. Time to convert the laptop
now.
