As a European user I have the most recent version of Quicken! I really
don't want to use MS money if I can help it! Not sure if anyone can help
with this.

I've just reinstalled quicken due to hard disc problems. Things seem OK but
I cannot get rid of the One step update page which appears every time I run
Quicken. Despite the product no longer being supported I can still download
Currencies etc. But this screen did not open by default before. There's no
preference to turn it off.

Thanks if you can help

Stephen

This is a long shot, but make sure there are NO boxes checked in
"Schedule Updates" (which is in the Online menu).

If that doesn't help, try validating a copy of your data.

File > File Operations > Copy

File > File Operations > Validate (the copy created in the
previous step)

Open the validated copy and see if the problem remains.

John Thank you.

No. I've unticked everything its possible to untick. Some boxes come up re
ticked when I re run the programe.

I think this has something to do with the fact that this unsupported
software can no longer access any programme updates, so it keeps trying to!
I seem to remember when installed originally it updated the software online.
What I will have on a back up programme is the old .ini file. I might try
putting that back?

Cheers

Stephen

Yes! That worked!

I resurrected a previous Quicken.in file and the problem is solved.
