Quicken support said there wasn't another update and that it must be
an installation problem and to uninstall Quicken 2005. Then delete
the folders under my profile related to Quicken 2005. Then install it
again and then apply the R6 patch.
Instead I just ran the R6 patch again. It said it wouldn't be applied
because my version of Quicken already had the last patch applied.
Then after I clicked on that it said my version was up to date and it
ended.
I no longer get the update request when I start Quicken 2005. It
appears the R6 patch did set some flag somewhere that it was already
applied.
Intuit's technical support seems to have been trained to provide users
with the standard four R's workarounds:
Retry
Reboot
Reinstall
Regurgitate
But at least they respond.
>I am running Quicken 2005 H&B R6.
