I'm using Quicken 2005 Premier on Vista Ultimate. Outside of crashing on
exit whenever I do an online update, it's been working acceptably. This
morning, upon finishing my online update, I see the following error message
in the Online Update Summary:

"Portfolio accounts Internal data error: [NoCustInfo] Load with
ExtKey:INTU#118948177 - No Database resources"

I have no idea what that means or what I'm supposed to do. The error
message specifies my "Portfolio accounts." But, they look fine to me. Any
suggestions?

Some more information:

I loaded up a data file I keep for my mother. Doing an update on it results
in the same error message. Both files Validate without problem.

The error message says "Internal data error." Could that be wrong? Could
this be a problem with Intuit's server and that's the place that's having
the "Internal data error?"

Why would you expect Quicken 5, or any other older program, to work on
Vista?

Vista will require folkes upgrading much of their software.

If Quicken 2007 is stated to be Vista compatible, then that's what you will
need.

If you look closely, you'll note that I'm not asking about Quicken working
on Vista. I've been using it successfully on it for over 3 months. Intuit,
though lying, claims 2005, 2006 and 2007 work on Vista with only a few minor
problems:

I don't have those problems. I'm just asking if anyone has had any
experience with this error message and if they can give me some pointers on
it.

Intuit did not state that Quicken 2005 will work with Vista. All they did
was point out some problems.
Does not mean that there are not other problems, perhaps some Intuit
intionally will not reaveal.

For Vista the only software that should be used is software that is
certified by the software developr to be Vista compatible, perhaps with the
addition of an update.

Fotr anything else, you are bound to run into the type of problems you have
encountered.
And, I doubt very much that Intuit will fix any version earlier than 2007 to
work wit hVista.
