Thanks for the suggestions Peter. Your suggestion makes sense but I
tried it all with no success. I de-selected all start-up items and
all services and re-booted. The same delay occurs in Security Detail
View. The only time that this function works normally (about 1 second
between security changes) is in safe mode. I don't know what gets
loaded between safe mode and regular start-up without an start-up
items and or services, that's messing with Quicken but it must be
something in Vista?
Going to Vista was not my choice - I was happy with XP but had to
upgrade due to a hardware crash on my old computer. Again, thanks for
your input - any other ideas always welcome.
