In Q2007 H&B, every register has a blank column before the Date column. I
cannot enter anything in it or change its size (or the size of any columns).
What is the purpose of this (apparently) wasted space? I don't remember this
from Q2004 from which I just upgraded.

P.S. Does anyone else notice a black screen for a few seconds when switching
from one account (not file) to another? Never saw this kind of response (or
slow response times) in Q2004.

If you switch to two-line view, the field goes away.

To hold attachment links. Click on the Attach button on a transaction and
add a note or flag.

No I don't. But then, I didn't use Q2004.

Thanks! Just tried an attachment and it works great. Not sure how much I'll
actually use the feature.

Well, it turned out that Firefox was up to its usual trick of sucking a lot
of CPU. Not actually a
Q2007 problem but since Q2007's graphcs seem a bit shakey compared to 2004,
it generated a
black/blank screen while switching accounts. Probably wouldn't have seen it
if the CPU
wasn't running almost flat out.
