Quicken 2007 Dlx - Vista - help Art Matz 12-14-2007

I've had Q 2007 since April. Now, when I try to acess Help, the right pane
of the help window (except for first window when I click "Quicken Help"),
says "This program cannot display the webpage".

The left pane which contains "Contents", "Index" and "search" works OK, just
not the right pane. Isn't the help files supposed to be on the hard drive?
Any fix for this?

Quicken uses Internet explorer to display the "webpages". Check your IE
security settings and make sure they are set at the default levels for all
zone. Of course, since you are using Vista, any thing could be the culprit.

I've since found that others started experiencing the same problem in the
last few days:
http://www.quickencommunity.com/webx?14@@.eff9f2f/6

One post summarizes the problem:
---------------------------------------------------------------
"So here are the facts we now know:

1. Quicken versions 2005 to 2008 are affected.

2. Windows XP and Vista users are affected.

3. Both the Windows Security Update of 12/11/07 AND the Quicken Security
Update most likely caused the problem.

4. Uninstalling and reinstalling Quicken does not fix the problem.

5. POSSIBLY only IE7 users are affected. Anyone using IE6 having this same
issue?

Has anyone tried uninstalling either the Windows Updates or the Quicken
Update? I'd like to know if either uninstall will resolve the current Help
problem in Quicken. Please post back to this thread if you try either or
both uninstalls."
------------------------------------------------------------
One poster went back to IE 6 to fix it. I figure I will wait for a fix from
either MS or Intuit.

I am using IE6 (XP pro) with Quicken H&B 2008. Help file displays properly.
I am having other non-quicken issues with IE6 so there may be numerous
problems cause by the 12/11 updates.
