I discovered, after a lot of playing around, that the last file that I
was using before I closed Quicken must have become corrupted just as
Quicken closed it - Quicken apparently is unable to open a corrupted
file, but gives no error other than disappearing off the screen.
Just before closing QUicken, I had backed up the same file, which does
open normally... go figure!
The way I got things working again was to double-click another Quicken
QDF file, which, since it was OK, opened Quicken.
Its rather bizarre that the file corruption must have occurred just as
Quicken closed the file.. that's the best explanation that I can think of.
Thanks
Bruce
