Mine was an easy fix... with help from Chase. Seems the FI name on my
Quicken account was wrong which automagically doomed the process. Once I
got the FI name on the account fixed, it connected just fine.

Now I have to sort out my first statement with this method. The first time
is always a charm... or something.

I don't recall having to edit the FI name originally (after the switch to
Q2008). Some time later (couple weeks, if that), things stopped working,
and I think Chase changed something in their authentication. I suddenly
had to ask for an activation code to be sent by email. Now everything
seems sorted out, although, as with Citibank, accessing the website
directly gives you the latest data before the Quicken server does.

Mitch:

All my Chase downloads failed last week.
I finally had to deactivate and reactivate all the accounts.

As far as the authorization codes go, that is only to identify your computer
as "trusted"
Those codes have nothing to do with your login IDs and passwords.

So I would recommend validating your machine with those codes.
Then deactivate and reactivate all your accounts.

HTH,
Bob

Anyone had any problems getting Chase Credit Card Accounts to download
correctly in Quicken 2008. It kept giving me errors, so I turned off
on-line access to these accounts. When I then tried to re-establish
One-Step Update access, it asked for authorization codes for each
account - when I said I wanted these, I received emails from Chase
with these codes, but when I entered them in Quicken, it still
couldn't re-establish One-Step Update. No problems with any other
accounts

Mine did also, but I was able to get them working again by online updating from
just the individual account, not using One Step Update.

I've used this to restart Amex accounts when they stop downloading also.

Chase is one of those for me that sometimes works and sometimes not. I have
to log-in's (and it will need to remain as such from their standpoint) and
often one fails and the other works. It usually clears itself up in a
couple of days. I sometimes just avoid One-Step Update and go to Online
Center to get it to correct.
