I had problems with Chase CC in Q 2007. My usual fix to these problems
is to log on to the CC web site with my browser. I usually find some
extra prompt which, after answering, everything works ok in Q again.
However, this time I encountered the authorization code problem.
Working through the web pages to get a new authorization code didn't
fix it. I had to call Chase and they walked me through a different
process.
I think Chase broke something on their web site. Wait times to get to
their online support operators was very long, and the operators were
very adept at walking you through the correction process in about 30
seconds.
