Quicken CD silkscreen - fuzzy counterfeit copy ? P.Schuman 02-18-2007

I happen to purchase Quicken 2006 from a seller on ebay.
They had a top rating, and things looked ok.
When I received the CD, the printing on the label looked "fuzzy".

In fact, the large white "Quicken" at the top, had very very tiny black dots
as if from a scanned image and re-printed.
My guess - these are counterfeit copies.
I reported it to eBay, and also posted a negative comment.

BTW - yeah - with no product key required,
or other unique serial number identifier,
I installed it and it worked fine... no virus, malware, etc

Just wondering what a "real" version of the CD label looks like ?
Any probs with the printed area -

Since you have reported a fraud on eBay, why did you install?
And since you have installed - and it works! - then why did you
report?

Since you're not going to answer the OP's question, why did you
respond?

I have the real CD as I have been buying the latest version every year since
1998. No reason to point that out other than to establish I'm an addict.
:) I just looked at the 2006 CD and it looks perfect and very professional.
There is no distortion, fuzziness, graininess, or black dots anywhere on the
CD. On the inner track of the CD where you sometimes see halo like hologram
markings there is a series of human heads with "bubbles" that grow in
numbers from the outside to the inside. The row of heads ends with the word
"Authentic" and then another series of heads with "bubbles" in them.

One thing I would like to note is that it's common for large software
companies to have different versions (or pressings) of their CDs.

My opinion is for you to also report this to Intuit. They may have a
department already tracking different types of forgeries.

Cheers,
Scott

PS - I agree with Bob to gklatv, why post if you don't want to help the OP?
