I'm annoyed that I'm being issued a Chase Quicken Visa to replace the
Citi Bank card. I will have to take the time to notify all my automatic
payments of the change. Since the Citi Visa had no other benefits other
than a few 'one step update' I'm looking to change my Visa to a card
that has the same free "one step update" plus other benefits. All of my
financial institutions provide FREE "one step updates". I don't want to
get involved with "Web Connect" Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Traveling

If you go to citicards.com, you can see all of their offerings.
The Citi cards I use the most are:

Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards: 5 ThankYou points / $ at groceries
Citi Professional: 3 TY /$ back at restaurants

If you are a student, the MTVu card also does 5 TY for groceries and
restaurants.

I think that with Q2007 or 2008 (I forget which one) the distinction
between webconnect and OSU disappeared. At least, I am using OSU with my
Chase accounts. I don't pay any fees, apart from the onetime electronic
transfer fee that I got assessed for reasons I don't understand.

Chase's website is totally different from Citibank's but I would be
hardpressed to prefer one over the other - I think they are both
excellent.

It may seem that way, but there is an important distinction.

The "new" capability is "Express Web Connect", which can
otherwise be thought of as "screen scraping". Express Web
Connect - when it works - allows you to include, what would
otherwise be strictly, Web Connect accounts in your One Step
Update.

EWC is not available for all accounts that are designated as Web
Connect (the financial institution dictates whether they will
allow EWC), and it does not work reliably even for all accounts
that say they offer Express Web Connect.

When EWC does not work, I believe the problem lies with MFA
(Mulit Factor Authentication); it's relatively new to fi's and
to the OFX specs.

Well, while I've had to call Chase web help a few times because of
problems with authentications, at the moment everything works just fine,
but Citibank is my main checking account, not Chase. With my credit
cards, I vary as the whim strikes, which one(s) I use most often.
