I'm a bit dubious that this is really a requirement. With all the beta
testing and the market share of Q, I would really expect more than a
couple of problems reported. Q users have never been reluctant to report
problems... ;-)
I'm leaning more to some hardware/software interaction causing the
problem. I've upgraded Q in place just about every year for 10+ years
with absolutely no problems...
Could the OP post any errors in the event logs?
