I cannot open "Quicken Data Files" on the "Synology ds-106e Server". The
folder is mapped and has the same data file that is used on the "C" drive.
Any ideas????

Which version do you have?
Your likely problem is that Quicken does not recognize network file names. Map
your network drive to one that Quicken understands, like F:.
Quicken will read from network files when properly mapped.

Reminds me of /improper fractions/. You know, fractions like 5/2 or the
like. Some math teacher insist on writing 2 1/2. But improper fractions
are not improper at all. In fact they are often more useful in that
often you can better see factoring opportunities.
Same with the above. A UNC path is perfectly valid. It need not be
mapped to be "proper". In fact mapping it is worse in that you can map a
drive then perhaps write scripts that depend on that drive mapping.
Then, down the road, you might inadvertently map it to a different drive
letter or be forced to map it to another drive letter then have to go
back and update your scripts.
But alas Quicken doesn't support UNC paths and all I can say is that is
just sloppy programming.
