Quicken PDF

When I attempt from quicken 2009 Deluxe to generate a pdf copy (export data
to pdf format) of a report I find that the generating pdf file continually
indicates that it is writing. When I finally give up and click the cancel
button I get a warning that I will lose data and that the quicken launcher
has failed.

When I then check the control panel (I am running Vista-64) I find that the
Quicken PDF Printer is now my default printer. It shows the job had an
error. The properties on the job shows the error "Printer not activated,
error code -30".

What is this error? Web search shows that this is a Quicken only version of
the product, but it appears to be crippled and will not even work with
Quicken.

Checking the amyuni forum I find that many people have posted similar issues
with this and previous versions of the Quicken pdf writer with no viable
solutions from amyuni. I do have version 3.01a so not certain if the
comments about 2.5x not running on vista 64 are applicable.

Is there a simple fix?

Install SourceForge PDFCreator and print to its PDF driver instead. It is MUCH
better.
