Quicken Premier 2009 lockups Edward 05-09-2009

I have used Quicken since the early 1990s and never had any real
problems. I have been using Quicken Premier 2007 since it came out and
it has been fine. I installed Quicken Premier 2009 about a week ago,
and it locked up several times. I know switching Quicken files caused
it to lockup a couple of times, but I can't remember what I was doing
the other times it locked up. I could close it down and it would start
up fine. Still, it made me nervous and today I uninstalled 2009 and
went back to 2007.

Is there a general consensus as to what is causing the problems? I have
not split up my data files, so I'm sure they are fairly large; but if
2007 Quicken handled them fine, why wouldn't 2009?

I am using the latest version of Windows XP; I have 3 gigs of ram and
plenty of space on my hard drives. I have a Pentium 4 2.8 ghz
processor, which should be more than adequate.

I formatted my hard drive and did a complete reinstall of all programs.
Quicken 2009 Premier seems to be working now. I think the only thing
I have not reinstalled is my printer, an HP C7280. Its software and
drivers cause conflicts with Microsoft Office 2007, and maybe other
programs. Is anyone else using one of these printers and Quicken 2009?

I have problems with a Logitech wireless mouse. Q2009 was very slow
and would act like it was hung up. As soon as I replaced the mouse my
problems went away. There are lots of posting on this problem if you
do a Google search.
