What transpired that made two different Quickens ? What was done to deny
Canadians access to the USA Quicken site , where for example one could
access and profile stocks ? Was it a corporate thing ? It'd be interesting
to know.

There has been a separate Canadian version of Quicken for many years now.
There are enough differences between the banking systems, terminology, etc in
both countries to justify separate versions.

I'm in Canada, and I can visit www.quicken.com without problems.

Yes. You can visit, but you can never join.

It has to do with your software. If you bought Quicken 2004 or 5 or 6
in Canada, you simply cannot complete the joining to log in in AMerica.
Therefore you are denied the features of the site such as stock
researching .

It is the opposite of Hotel California !
